About our Rehearsals

The health and safety of our members and our community are very important to all of us.  We strongly encourage all of our members to be fully vaccinated for their own protection against serious illness.  For the safety of our members, if you do not feel well please skip a rehearsal or performance.  As long as we avoid any identifiable disease transmission in our band, we will have a policy that masks and bell covers are optional.

You’ll need to bring your own music stand, a tuner, and your instrument.  You may also want to bring a stand light.  If you play a brass instrument or any other instrument that would likely leave any moisture on the floor, please bring a clean suitably-sized drip cloth to put on the floor.

We are increasingly supplying music as a digital (pdf) file.  You will need to be able to print this music or to download it to an electronic device that you can use in rehearsals and performances.

Rehearsals normally begin at 10:00 AM on Saturdays.  It is best to arrive at least 30 minutes early in order to get set up and warmed up.  If this is your first time with us, please announce your arrival to either Kelley or Bob so we can introduce you to the rest of the band at the beginning of the rehearsal.

We need help from our Band Members to greet our band members at the beginning of each rehearsal and assure that all people who enter the building are affiliated with the Band.  Please sign up by filling out one or more lines on our Greeter Schedule

When you see our busy rehearsal and concert schedule, you can see that we need a wonderful logistics team that moves our considerable band equipment to various locations.  Fortunately, we have a wonderful 16-foot trailer to move our equipment around.  Here is the work that needs to happen and we welcome volunteers to help with this.  We are also looking for members who are able to tow our trailer which uses a 7-pin electrical connect
or and a 2 5/16
 inch ball.

We rehearse at the Esther Simplot Performing Arts Academy (ESPAA) Philharmonic Rehearsal Hall (second floor) located on the SE corner of Myrtle and 9th St. (Map).  See details below.

You should plan to enter the building from the south side patio area (not the North side entrance).  Chairs will be available.  Parking will be available in the ESPAA parking lots during our rehearsals.  This includes the parking lot on the northwest corner of W. Miller St. and N 9th St.
